2. Which character is most admirable? Analyze his / her positive and negative traits and cite incidents in the movie to defend your answer.




I would say the most admirable character was Nando Parrado because, after their team captain died from the avalanche at night. He was the one who motivated the people that survived the plane crash to work together to survive. Before Antonio
the team captain died he was the one who looked after them until Nando Parrado had woken up from the crash. 


But after the avalanche Nando took the pack and lead it and helped them survive until his friend or team mate dreamt about  when they travel that they will see grass and flowers, lakes even. And so he didn't lose hope in believing that they would see it. Regardless of eating human meat they had overcome it and just thought of it as animal meat... as long they don't think of it as like that. And then, from that they would survive eating human flesh because almost everyone took chocolates and wine for supplies and had it for themselves. Then Nando wanted to walk the mountains to seek help and they did. He was the most admirable character because he never lose hope in helping others and he wanted to make sure that the people with him gets home safely and they would be in their own houses, beds and all, and eat good food. :) 

Summer, Summer, Summer...GOODBYE Forever :'(

I just keep wondering to myself what would happen to the people in 9-A this coming summer... 

I mean probably most would go back to their hometown and some would travel and see their friends, well have fun when you go back in advance. :)

I am so glad that I met the grade 9, if it weren't for them I wouldn't actually know what family is truly in school. 

Because, in my old school it really doesn't matter and no one would care, probably because it's a way of living. 

I was so happy to be with someone who really truly cared and stayed with me for months and tend to try hard to stay with me... I can be hard- headed sorry. 

It was such an adventure with you guys, We faced troubles together, love life problems, and even personal ones but only for us to understand. 

I thought that with this someone would still be okay, but this someone liked someone and I did as well... guess we're even. I try to laugh everything off just to forget, but the more I do it, the more I think about it... Depressing. 

#STRANGERSALLOVERAGAIN I guess. 

We had so much laughs together, We had stuff going on inside the class that only us Gr9 would know. 

We had a lot that we shared and it was fun knowing all of you. 

My first year and my only 2 months studying in the philippines, I wouldn't leave... i'm enjoying it here even more, I admit it. 

Thank you for being my sisters, brothers, boyfriend, friends, and supporters. 

I wish I would get to know you more next year but unfortunately, I wouldn't. 

I had so much to say but the only thing that really changed me in this class is change of heart

If it wasn't because of you guys, I would be doing the same things that I normally did in Dubai... which I hate to happen again. 

I am truly thankful to Ms. Mae for being a mother, teacher, friend and a true supporter at anything

She's been helpful and kind to me since I first came here, and that was enough to get to know all of you. 

I would truly miss all of you, normally I do move schools every year or every two years, but this time I didn't really want to leave. 

But my mom made decisions that are best for me.... (?) ish. 

I tried convincing her, but it wouldn't work. So maybe it's best to not interfere. 

This might be the school that have less facilities and all that, even if its a small school 

but this is a school that you would try and describe as FAMILY. 

I feel so lifeless already... I don't know how to start and deal with this. 

Oh well, I'll just have to get use to the life now that I am officially going to be separated to my family back in Dubai... I think this is their way of showing me how to be INDEPENDENT when I go to college... BOOM! : / 

 As annoying as it sounds right now, I just want to turn my room upside down just because what my mom just decided... Fudge. 

I don't want to live in this world anymore. 

Summer is Almost Near

A week left and I don't know how to persuade my mom to let me stay here. Anyway, I haven't figured what I want to do this summer but I am definitely coming back to Dubai for summer. But if I stay there for quite too long.... HAHA who knows, mom would at least be annoyed if I would keep nagging her about here. :) 

I know my mom for being a short-tempered mother, which means I win every time. Ha Ha :)) 

I just want to stay here for another year, but if I don't, I get to have like 3-4 months of vacation because, school in Dubai starts on September and who knows what I would be doing for 4 months of summer. 

I enjoy most of years in Dubai but here its more fun! :) haha 

I get to watch basketball games. play volleyball games, stay outside the house at night more often,do anything that I feel like doing,  sleep late or never sleep at all. Unlike in Dubai you can't because its all villa. My mom can be so over protective especially at night, she doesn't want me or my sisters in front of the villa at exactly 6 pm or we be in trouble Uh Oh, Unless I'm with people like my parents, friends or maids.. And you wouldn't know if a pakistani would just grab you from the dark and drive you in the middle of the dessert and leave you there clueless of what happened. Seriously, it happens a lot to girls or ladies which isn't safe. 

It's pretty unsafe just at night. But if you're in a big crowd, trust me no one would even bother try to take you. There are eyes everywhere. =P

I like Mario's songs, I even admired the instrumental song that he made in the movie Step Up the first one. And it was awesome and so addicting to listen to all day all night. I never get tired of his songs, and he is just amazing with his music.

anything new this week?

Well, there's been a lot of learnings and new things that we've been improving and doing in class... 

We have been more active and hyper, and it's a good thing because, the more the class is hyper at least no one is so lazy to listen. 

We have our own ways in getting ourself away from boredom, It's been a WEEK for all of us. 

I mean Periodical exam is coming up next week and this week is TEACHERS APPRECIATION WEEK 

and we each get to pick a random name from the box and we have to write them a simple letter just to 

say our Thankful message for them as a teacher and how much we appreciate them even though, they give us  LOADS OF NON-STOP SCHOOL/HOMEWORKS.

Back to Dubai? -.-

My mom just called me about reminding me about school... and after telling me about what's been going on back there, she slowly said "you might be coming back here."

Prom... The Night of Our Lives

Prom you could say, it was between good and fine... 

I'd say I enjoyed half of it and the half not so much. 

I personally liked the boys wearing tux and the girls who wore their prom dresses. :) 

And haha, the boys were having more fun playing with the glow sticks and,

wow the boys are just hyper!

To be honest, I think the grade 9 just enjoyed playing glow sticks fight and throwing glow sticks in the air :)) hahaha ! The grade 9s' even got a SPECIAL MENTION. LOL

"while we're young and beautiful"

It means that you gotta enjoy living young and beautiful. Enjoy the little and big things while you can. It only happens once in your teenage years, but when you grow old you tend to miss what you love to do when you are young, but it doesn't mean you can't do it anymore.

 There are things that you would be able to do and some you won't be able to try anymore.

 So, better enjoy what you do at this time, because great possibility that you only get to watch the next generation of teenagers doing the stuff that you do during your years.

 And all you get to do is just SIT and WATCH. 

It's much better to do the things that you can't do , so that when you grow older you 

get to watch your children or grandchildren and say "I used to do that, It was so much fun" and reminisce the days that you use to do those awesome things.

JS Promenade

I've always thought of going to prom...NOT! I've never imagine myself going to prom which is like NEXT THURSDAY! I never thought that I would be going to prom. This is obviously my first promenade, I mean we did this sort of thing when I was in grade 8 but it wasn't a formal event. This time it is actually happening! I will be able to get my dress tomorrow already custom made, my mom's assistant will be dropping it at my house tomorrow when she arrives. I am not ready, I don't even know what will happen.


For you guys who doesn't have dates on the prom starting asking or start looking for one. HAHA!
But for those who won't bring any we might wanna have a separate table where all the pips can sit down and be careless(?) for not bringing dates. :)


Anyways, we are finally done with the Declaration of Independence in our English class! wooo! :)) HaHa. Next topic? :)) Haha. YESSS! :P

Take Me Down Like a Domino

This one week of vacation I'd say is not enough... I don't feel like doing anything except hang out, go out, sleep, watch, text and swim! I mean this week is like the most AMAZING week I've ever had! <3

 Aah love. HaHa! tell you about it later :))

After my Birthday, I overslept and I got really sick after that. The next day, I called my friend that I wanted to come over and hang then after that we go to the park and walk. So, I came to her house and I saw a filipino food/ sweet that really caught my eye and I was like "that looks tasty." It was BICO.

 So then I approached the table and tasted it, dang it was so good... Little did I NOT know that it's been there for 2 days but not placed on the fridge. : / That's when I started vomiting and got some serious stomachache : / I ended up going home but my friend stayed over. Ay! I hated it. But then I told my Mom / Aunt to make that Bico and so she did the next day. :) It was really good I have to say and then my Uncle brought Puto Pao.

This served as our snack and Chips while watching Hunger Games and 21 Jumpstreet :) This two movies was the BEST! :)

March 29- April 8

Saturday; I went for a jog it was 5:30 in the morning when I went outside and started running.
And I didn't actually noticed my friend walking with his friends at the front of the village until he shouted my name... :S trust me I actually felt like..... O.o when I heard someone calling my name. I thought it was some stranger! So I looked it was my friend Anthony! He's a Filipino. I had a little crush on him... till now : / HAHA! I don't know suddenly he just came out of nowhere and there he was!
He slowly approached me on the other side of the road and he walked with me leaving his friends who were headed to our village's basketball court. After that, we went to the Basketball court and so I sat down on their bench and watched him play. Damn he's really good :)


Sunday; I did the same thing wake up at 5:30 and jog/ run and fancy bumping to him again I should say I always bump into him at like exactly 6:oo am in the morning. So then his friends thought we were "together" but we both said "no." But after that he texted me saying " he would want to." But I didn't reply back.

Monday; And so on and so forth, this thing every morning continued till Thursday. We meet blah blah hang out and stuff, watch him play and all that we would go to mini stop or 7 11 to spend our spare time and either head to my house or his and shoot hoops with him or play volleyball with his other friends.

Tuesday; Texts me every morning just to greet me "Good Morning :"> " and I'd text back and he would  asked if I ate my breakfast already and If I did, wanna hang out ? and stuff. So I'd go. Texted my friends and his friends to come meet at his house and we'll do whatever we felt like doing.  :)

Tuesday / Wednesday; SAME THING. Then, We would talk for hours text each other in just minutes and he'd asked me the thing that SOMEONE (finally you'd know who it was! :) )asked me about but I didn't know what to answer. suddenly my friend Anthony did pop the question out, when he stayed for me at my house because I was alone until 10-11 in the evening we were watching and we were throwing popcorn all over my room :)) and then he asked " has anyone court you yet?" I frozed. You have no idea  how I looked like when I heard that question. Luckily my lovely friend Georgette barged in and jumped over me to say " HELLO! I AM HERE" kinda thing. LOL Then, she asked " Monica, when are you going to say Yes? " and then I was like "huh?" to who? and to what? then we proceeded watching. After that my Mom and Uncle and my cousins came home and My Uncle asked Anthony if he would want to come to the beach with us and so he said yes and had to say goodbye, but Georgette stayed :)


Thursday; I was with Georgette hanging out, when we saw him with his friends at the basketball court.
She said "come on, let's watch them play.".  So, we watched but I didn't talk to him. which made the atmosphere around us AWKWARD.... Then his big brother asked what is going on with both of us, he talked but I did not and I just pulled Georgette out, then we left. He texted me after when they finished their game sayin " Hey, can you please talk to me" and all those stuff, so I did. Next thing you know he called, we chatted again :)) and it all went back to the way we used to.

Friday; Friday! :) It was the most nicest thing that happened, HAHA! We were the first ones to run towards the beach and throw sand at each other and I got to bury him under the sand :) It was fun then his cousins and mine came running towards him getting rides from him. We were having the best time of our lives! :) After, we ate and all that then we played volleyball and, then me and him lied down on the sand and got tanned ourselves a bit :) HAHA. The two of us headed after that to the pool and just stayed there until everyone found us.... Oh, I don't wanna be on details about what we were doing :).
Everybody was like " ayiiiieeeee" :"> thingy on both of us. HAHA. Then we started doing flips and jumps on the pool ;) the best thing! Then he carried me and my cousin to the deepest part of the pool and left the both of us there. : / HAHA . Then we headed back to the cottage to eat again :) HAHa! Then we threw cold ice to each other and then we showered the people with juice and ran all over the beach. twas' fun :) After those stuff we went home and wow that was tiring :) probably after prom we'll go swimming again, this time with our friends.




Saturday; just chillin' at the front of my house and we went to my other friend's house Hideo's and next to Georgette's to play Volleyball after we just stayed at the balcony in my house and just ate and talk about a lot of stuff and just tell jokes and funny moments that the group had a lot of laughs on. :)

Sunday; Homework Time! : / Damn, didn't have any much happening this day because I am now stuck doing stuffs for school. : / So, we are just texting and calling non-stop. :) It was fine. :)

So, What are we supposed to do now? Why don't we ALL start practicing our lines and put a 110% emotion through it. As all of you know, the play is like TOMORROW! (March 26) *bow*
We all know that we are not good actors or actresses but, let's try and do our best shall we?
Last week was so stressful that we all had to CRAM and WORK HARDER and FASTER just to lessen our duties but now, that we don't have much time to rehearse properly and make it better. Personally, we should rehearse at home or even in your sleep when you

wake up tomorrow morning.

It's the only way you could imagine how you are going to deliver your part when you are already standing on stage.
Always remember to STAY IN CHARACTER and GO FOR IT!


Nothing is impossible if you actually do it :) GO ON STAGE, ACT, SPEAK, LOOK AT THE AUDIENCE, ACT AGAIN, END IT!
